➤ Physical Therapist Assistant Award

The Physical Therapist Assistant Award was proposed by the APTA Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant Special Interest Group (PTASIG), and the first award was presented to a physical therapist assistant at the APTA Virginia Annual Conference in April of 1992.

Purpose

To recognize physical therapist assistants who have made an outstanding contribution to clinical practice and to the physical therapist assistants' development through APTA Virginia participation.

Eligibility

APTA Virginia PTA members not currently serving on the Board of Directors or the Awards Committee. 

Selection Process
Nominations must be submitted to the Nominating Committee Chair by February 1. The Awards Committee will make the final selection with the approval of the Board of Directors.

Award Minimum:
The recipient will receive at a minimum, a certificate, which will be presented at the APTA Virginia Annual Business Meeting.
