Fall Summit 2025: Conference Proposal Help Sessions
We are excited to announce three informative sessions designed to enhance your experience and success at the APTA Virginia Fall Summit 2025 hosted by Education Co-Chairs, Lee Ann Eagler, PT, DPT and Connie Johnson, PT, DScPT.
Session 1: Understanding the New Format and Proposal Review Process
In this session, you will learn about the new structure of the APTA Virginia Fall Summit Conference. We will discuss important timelines, proposal writing, the review process, and share valuable public speaking tips. By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Navigate the review process.
- Understand the criteria used by reviewers and how to address common pitfalls.
- Use a rubric to develop a strong conference proposal.
- Describe four tips for becoming an engaging public speaker.
Sessions 2 and 3: Open House Course Proposal Help Sessions
Join us for two help sessions on January 14, 2025 and January 27, 2025. These sessions will be free of charge, but we ask that participants sign up in advance so we can plan accordingly. In these one-hour sessions, you will have the opportunity to:
- Review your conference proposal idea in a group format.
- Use a rubric to assess your proposal.
- Identify strategies to strengthen weak points in your proposal.
- Learn how to effectively organize your content and use visual aids to enhance your message.
If you have an idea for a presentation at the APTA Virginia Fall Summit but need assistance refining it or navigating the proposal process, these sessions are perfect for you. By the end of these workshops, attendees will be well-prepared to share their expertise with a wider audience and contribute to the advancement of physical therapy practice.
