In Loving Memory of Katie DiSanto

When one member mourns, we all mourn; at this time, we hold Katie DiSanto's family in our thoughts and prayers.

Katie DiSanto, a 15-year seasoned Physical Therapist, passed away on October 27th due to a terrible medical emergency. Katie was a mother, wife, educator, and creator of many smiles. Katie's career was widespread with positive energy and fierce compassion to help others. In those years, she spent time as a Lab Assistant at Old Dominion University, a therapist at Riverside Rehabilitation Institute and Sentara Outpatient, and prepared many of the field's Physical Therapist Assistants from Tidewater Community College as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education and Associate Professor.

Each interaction Katie approached was a teaching opportunity for herself and those who surrounded her as she was the creative out-of-the-box thinker and doer. Katie's touch of kind words and enthusiasm to care for her patients and coworkers alike will forever ignite these individuals' lives. The healthcare and education community will miss you very much.
